Dec. 30th, 2006 03:48 pmB & I had a very fun xmas eve, which we always spend by ourselves. And, among other things, B gave me gift certificates to the local rock store for classes to learn how to grind, shape, and polish stones for beads and jewelry. Totally excited! On xmas we visited with my parents, my sister, and my grandma, for our traditional at-home xmas breakfast and fun. My parents always get too many presents for us - you know, we *are* 30-somethings now - but it's a good excuse to sit around listening to the Muppets christmas record. Last night my family & I went to see Happy Feet at the Imax. I'm not a good person to review the movie, though, as I discovered yet again that the Imax makes me feel very very sick. Blech. I think it happens more with regular movies shown on the Imax screen, rather than with movies made for Imax. So I'm declaring a moratorium on Sqwooks in Imaxes.
In other fun news,
otterkin &
celtic_elk went to the Zoo! And to a tuba museum and restaurant! Much fun was had. The Lansing zoo has a new Otter Mansion, and the otters are living it up.
Today was brunch w/family friends, and it was neat to catch up with them. Then finishing up some year-end work stuff, and now it's time to head home and see what Mr. Sqwook is up to! *hugs* to everyone and happy new year to you. I love new years. So many possibilities.
Hope to see you New Year's Eve!
