My mom had tucked inside a wonderful gift -- a book from my wishlist, The Pine Island Paradox: Making Connections in a Disconnected World, by Kathleen Dean Moore, perhaps my favorite author -- a series of fancy individually-wrapped teas, each with a special post-it note message:

Excitement awaits!
Greet each morning with wow!
Whee! What's next? :)
