Last week's expotition was the Tucson gem & mineral shows.  It was .... lots and lots of gems, beads, jewelry, rocks, etc etc etc.  It is just huge. We went to about 8 of the 40 different shows, over 3 days.  It was easy to get overwhelmed. But we found all the stuff we needed for supplies... plus some other very cool stuff!    B found lots and lots of cool stuff & gadgets & knickknacks, as usual.  He is an unstoppable gadget boy.

One of the scores was a VERY beautiful big quartz crystal sphere, full of fractures and sparkles and rainbows. Very neat!  And, since we have not hung our giant bell in the entryway (requires strong anchoring and this is a rental), it may replace that. (Though the bell is better.)  When we need to break a mood of anxiety or whatever, we would go ring the bell.  "Ring the bell, ring the bell!"  Now it's "Touch the crystal."  Definitely sounds dorkier to the random outsider, and is not as satisfyingly LOUD, but at least the thought is there.

I still have an overwhelmed feeling when I think about the show, so it's hard to write more details about it off the top of my head. I *would* do well answering questions, though, so if you have any specific things you might like to know, ask away!  Yes, there were amethyst geodes so big I could stand inside. Craaaazy.

PS - To clear up any potential confusion for those who aren't familiar with the reference, yes, I do know how to spell "expedition" but shall continue with my current spelling.
