(no subject)

• Solstice was the most gorgeous sunny day possible - yay for sun!
• I got a happy xmas text message (you know who you are!) that made me totally grin.
• My sister arrived safely from AZ.
• My beloved has set up a deal w/ rena_titanon where I can go for massages whenever I want & she'll send him the bill so I never have to worry about it.  *boggle* He said I should go at least once a month. *bogglex2* !!!
• My family's power was out, (yes, on Christmas Day...), so we did some mad-dash cleaning and hosted xmas for the first time EVER. I made boatloads of french toast with bacon and ham for brunch. And had the mulled cherry wine with my brunch, as did B.  :)  Do what you need to do, right? It was great, java logs on the fire, everyone bundled under blankets.  Then I made a pasta-veggie dish for dinner before they headed out (they wanted to stay at home, we offered.)
• I got a bird-book, too, like otterkin -- mine is a little field guide with a cd and comes together in a little leather (or leatheresque?) carrying-in-the-field case.
• I cringe to admit this... B bought a roomba (I know, I know, but he is a *serious* gadget lover, as you know) and it's actually pretty interesting to think of how they must have coded it - it's pretty good at manoeuvring around/over all kinds of obstacles.
• Was I always this busy around the holidays? Probably. Today- off and with something fun planned! Saturday- B's brother & family. Sunday- My family, DIA. Monday-My family, cleaning (as a gift for my mom). Tuesday- ? Wed.- Work, New Year's! And then I think I'm done.
• pattimst3k -- I did not forget about the sewing. Maybe Tuesday during the day?
• Lots of other random stuff.
