Wow, so apparently sickness makes me an existential freak. I don't mind thinking existential thoughts, except they're so whiny in my case. 'Why am i *here*? Why do I have to be *sick*? How can i get everything *done*?  You'd think I could just be at home, and recover, without spending every moment worrying about how if I were at work I could at least be making progress on work tasks, or since I'm home I should work on Sierra Club stuff, or at least I should do the dishes, or something.  But no, not this time.   If I think in terms of energy, then I can actually feel energy getting blocked up when I think like that. Energy needs to move, and sitting at home can make me fall prey to all kinds of completely unhelpful fears.

It's much easier to talk about this after it's over, because while it's going on, I feel like you would all back away ... very... slowly.

Anyway, if you ever had any doubt (ha ha!), I am human, and I have my moments of complete imbalance.

So, for something COMPLETELY different, here are things that are new &/or cool:
-B is hilarious and awesome, even with the harshest of audiences (ill sqwooks)
-Puck's favorite toy is a green bean
-Fiona is EVEN FUZZIER in wintertime
-Fuzzy blankets
-Lapidary workshop sessions
-Fondue for dinner! And movies.
-The book "The Art of Possibility"
-[profile] extrastout started a cool thing I'm looking forward to
-Today, I did not slice my finger with a bread knife, forget a meeting, or dump the rice for dinner all over the floor (these all happened yesterday)
-I drove to Howell in the snow for a meeting and arrived safely and early
-I'm going to write a report for my winter field study class about foxes
-[profile] otterkin is in field study with me
-And many other things.
