*=top sites
In/Near Spain:
Urkulu
Lecumberry
Occabe (accent aigue) / Okabe
Plateau Benou, Cromlechs de lou Couraus (Cromlechs de Benou)
Elsewhere:
Coligny calendar- Lyon, on display at the Palais des Arts museum - Gallo Roman; 1es celtic calendar, oldest celtic calendar known. Might interest celtic_elk.
Sequana/Seine - the source of the Seine is near Alesia, Courceau, and St. Germain, in a beech woods. Sequana is the celtic Goddess, Seine is the river. (This is the river that flows through Paris). I don't necessarily think we should visit, but I hadn't heard of Sequana.
Forest of Broceliande (aka Paimpont), the site of many King Arthur stories; Carnac, a massive prehistoric site, is nearby. Is the forest magical in reality? Are there nature trails? Not sure. In Brittany/Bretagne, France's main area of celtic-remnant culture (Breton is still spoken in remote areas).
