Whew!

Basement cleaning:
- 12 extra strength 30-gallon bags of trash. 
- 7 boxes of recycle paper/cardboard. 
- 4 boxes to salvation army. 
- 2 boxes to the used book store.
- Other boxes actually on (for the most part) the shelves designed for that purpose
- 2 x the feeling of accomplishment of a typical weekend!

Best find: Hmmm.... my gorgeous antique embroidered wallhanging. Oh, and the instruction book to my sewing  machine, which had totally gone AWOL and was in a box of B's papers.
Worst find: A seemingly never-ending supply of cobwebs and mildewed dust bunnies
Weirdest find: A crate of gaming books that B *knew* weren't his. (It goes without saying that they weren't mine.)  They turned out to be B's step-brother's.

Friday, I spent a few lovely hours at Shanghai nature preserve in the prairie, with a book, my new cool ribbon wand (could keep it airborn with just the breeze!), and my notebook.

On Saturday, otterkin, kenllama, B, & I spent a marvelous evening cooking paella outside over an open fire, winnowing rye from the back field, and playing with ribbon wands & hula hoops.  Super fun!  Super delicious!  Super enjoyable!  :)
