Planning ahead..
Apr. 17th, 2007 07:06 pmI love planning ahead for vacations.
*It means I'll be *taking* a vacation.
*It means we're confident enough in our finances that we can definitely go.
*It means we're taking time for ourselves.
*It means days at a time of just hanging out, the two of us, with no other appointments!
*It means there's a longer amount of time to be excited about the prospect of going.
We're going to Arizona the third week of May, and to Stratford over the 4th of July. (Yes, we always [finances permitting] flee the country on the 4th of July. It's less of a political statement than you might think - our apartment used to back up to an empty lot that was apparently da bomb for shooting off fireworks throughout the night for a week ahead and a week after.)
