Miscellany

- I found a great scarf in Breckenridge: sheer, with a lovely drape, and with tassels around the entire outer edge. It manages to bridge sophisticated and ridiculous. I got two: black, and a rosy-lavender color (I know, but it looks good against my skin. They didn't have red, though I may be regretting not getting the fog-white.)  My inner Kurt Hummel is relishing it.

- I have always said that Drew Barrymore would play me in the movie of my life. Chris Colfer would definitely play me if there were a gender-swap version.

- Chopping onions when not wearing contacts is quite emotional.  I don't know how you all do it.

- Mixed gender roles in native american culture (Two-Spirit): Two-spirited refers to a person with a masculine and a feminine spirit.
"(The 2009 film) Two Spirits ... also brims with hope and the belief that we all are enriched by multi-gendered people, and that all of us — regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or cultural heritage — benefit from being free to be our truest selves."

-  Hey, humidity!  I'd almost forgotten how I appreciated the lack of you.
